Email Problems
I upgraded my Powerbook G4 and my PowerMac G4 to Panther (MacOS 10.3) this week. I then found that Eudora can not connect properly to my SSL-enabled mail server, running under Panther.
I haven't done a full test of this, because I don't have Eudora installed on the desktop machine. I'm going to test that out some time... I did an upgrade on the desktop (which is relatively new) but a fresh install (format & rebuild) on the Powerbook.
I've been researching and I can't find anyone else who has had this problem... I don't know whether it's an issue with my mail server's SSL certificates (or configuration) or with Eudora/Panther. Argh. Maybe I'll try connecting to Seth's server tonight. :-)

Employed again
I've started working at Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation, the parent company for a variety of insurance companies offering Auto and Homeowner's policies through [your] local agents in CT, NJ, NH, and MA.
I am in the Software side of the Technology group. My understanding is that the Technology group consists of three sub-groups: Software, Infrastructure, and Data. I have worked with people from Infrastructure (getting my machine properly configured, setting up a new WebSphere Application on the server (for testing), and sharing some information I know about various things we want to do.
I've only been there for two weeks, but so far I've liked all of the people I've met. I'm looking forward to having some actual code to write... So far I've spent time writing documentation for projects I don't fully understand, and answering questions about WebSphere, IIS, Web Services, and other things I know by reputation :-)
More as I find it. :)
